Explanation of glossing system used
(to understand how I describe the signs in this dictionary)

Chamdo: [1^] circles head CCW as seen from above + [C] PO > signer runs FT across chest from NDS shoulder to DS waist. To see a video of this sign go to tibet_prefectures at time 0:32.
Dagste (county): Both hands have the shape of [ILY], but the middle and ring fingers are perependicular to the palms and are touching with FT up and then move away from each other. + (2h)[B], NDH points > DS (as in TABLE), DH points upwards, and then the DH curves slightly at the wrist and bows forward (as in AFTERNOON) + Index touches where a ring would be on [S]. Lhasa or Lasa: (2h)[B], DH PO > NDS, FO > away, NDH PO up, FO away. DH fingers rub against NDH palm while DH closes to [A] twice with arms staying in place + press together palms of (2h)[B], FOs up. To see a video of this sign go to tibet_prefectures at time 0:22.
Lhokha: [V], PO > signer, runs FT across top of chest from NDS to DS, then down DS. In the video, the FT seem to go further back the waist as well. To see a video of this sign go to tibet_prefectures at time 0:41.
Medrogonkha (county): NDH [C], PO > DS, FO away, stays in place while DH [5^] is held higher, and moves > NDS while closing repeatedly to [O^] + Index touches where a ring would be on [S]. The last sign means "county".B> To see a video of this sign go to Tibet Deaf Lhasa Counties at 1:01.
